A few years back an old friend of mine gave me a seven or eight boxes (25 /box) of DMC which she picked up at a garage sale for a coupla bucks. Now the colours were those less desirable to the average stitcher but let me show ya what can happen when I have a ton of things to do and I get distracted.......
and I still have a ton of things on the list for today but you know what? Yep, your right, I will take time to play for a bit. For now I am only using Dark Navy and mixing it with each of the different colours of floss from that bag and then some.
all in all, I ended up with 61 rather interesting shades and handed off about 9 last night to some interested onlookers.
The first batch was fun and definitely a learning tool, so with what I learned and what ever will be and maybe even a redo for some of the ones that didn’t quite do what I thought they would I’m off to finish off a few little goodies for the weekend and put a
few scenes to a pot of hot dye.
Hummmm, I wonder how distracted I could get this weekend?????
Naw, not this weekend! lol
I am sure we will be
ANYTHING BUT DISTRACTED
FROM STITCHING THIS WEEKEND
but you just never know.
Brilliant! Looks like fun, actually.
