Unusual Evening

Oddly enough when a group of stitcher 

gather together every week 

there is the slight chance that some will not stitch. 

 Well, let me tell ya, 

last night was one of those nights. 

We gathered around the pool for a time,

then headed inside for a few good hours 

of pulling threads through.

Two needles were loaded and actually put to good use

 while we all sat chit chatting away, 

catching up and laughing lots. 

Oh, don't be to fooled by this, 

we all had our work in front of us 

but the hands were not focused  to the needle.  

You just never know what can come up in this crowd 

 and/or   what you may hear, 

other than laughter which is an ultimate constant. 

 I must admit 

I was one who chose to leave the needle on my minder because you know,,, 

after all,,, 

there is more to life than just stitching...... 

WHATEVER.....
