oh May

What a wonderful weekend.
You couldn't ask for nicer weather for the first weekend of May.
And the work we accomplished, wow,
it was plenty.
From cutting down the dying Cedar trees in the front/side garden
 to laying down landscaping fabric,
having p stone delivered,
loading said stone into wagon and lugging it around back,
to spreading stone into the designated area,
to cleaning out the pond
( ENJO worked so perfectly and easy too),
then on to filling the pond,
moving some stepping stones out of the pen
and ready to pressure wash to then place appropriately,
right up to sitting back with a tall cool one
while dinner was cooking.

A little bit of sun and a ton of work done.
now that's a good weekend.
(today is a good day to go to work for a rest.)

I even had some time for a few stitches to pull through.
Other than all of the work we accomplished here @ Henley's Landing

there was yet another highlight......

I got to chat with a Dear Friend
from far away,
soon to be farther!

Life can fly by and you hardly even notice
until you play catch up with someone special...
What a nice warm and fuzzy.

Thanks MA

you made my weekend
even better than hoped.

  3. Well, what a productive weekend you had indeed! Heading out to my gardens soon. Poor things... they were sadly neglected last year, so it's going to take a good bit of work to get them up to snuff. Happy that May is here, and that in just 17 sleeps we will see each other at our Brentwood retreat!!! ☺
