laugh, laugh, laugh,,,,, I thought I'd die.

T'was the morning of cross stitch, when all through the house
not a creature was stirring, well, except the human larger than a mouse.
The cup were placed by the Cuisinart with care
in hopes that the coffee soon would be there.

The children have moved out, probably just going to bed
while visions of sleep will dance in their head,
And me in kitchen, and pa on the go
had just settled down for a good cup a jo.

When out in the kitchen there arose such a clatter
he sprang from the couch to see what was the matter
Away to the kitchen he flew like a flash
went back for the camera and warmed up the flash.

The moon on the roof of the house next door
gave the luster of mayhap to the objects on the floor
When what to his wondering eyes did appear
but peanut butter everywhere , and it’s beginning to smear!

The mixing of a new jar is always a chore
not like that other type most buy in the store!
So out came the blender and everything flew!
It jiggled and jostled WTF! WHO KNEW?

Now peanut butter, now blender, now counter and knife
on backsplash, on counter on house-coat on wife
To the top of the cupboards, and running down the wall
between all the apples, man it’s gonna be a long haul.

With a bit of a chuckle and a few inner "phucks"
I knew in a moment, this idea just sucks
more rapid than eagles the oil it did a spew
and I thought to myself, "what the HELL did I just do?"

As the bread sat nicely before the damn oil flew
the jar was to slippery the blender , ya that too
The onion was covered, the shape knife tasty
the sandwich container tossed in the sink by Miss Hasty.

And then in a rustling, I heard through the fog
the prancing and pawing of one Lucky dog,
As i drew my head and was turning around
into the kitchen she came with a bound

Now there I am cover from my head to my foot,
and I’m betting my clothes tasted better than soot.
With camera in hand and a smirk on his face,
Pa snapped up a shot of peanut butter ALL OVER THE PLACE !

His eyes- how they twinkled!!! his dimples how merry!!!
His sandwich I was thinking , he should be a tad weary!!!
His toast it was cold now, as the spatula did swipe
every spot off the counter so he better not gripe.

He was laughing and giggling, a right jolly OLD elf
and I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A burst of more laughter and another good wipe
his sandwich was finished and my god, there’s still peanut butter on that pipe.

He spoke not a word (ya right) but went straight for his walk
and took Lucky dog to hear all the squirrels squawk
And positioning my finger as to say you’re the one
made cleaning and polishing just a little more fun

The counter it sparkles, the backsplash all clean
the dishes are washed and it all looks like it had been.
and i heard his exclaim ‘ere he drove out of sight
have fun cleaning Dear, I’ll see you tonight..

Cheers to going out with the Stitching Sisters tonight.......
