March

Well, here we are in March...
Life here @ Henley's Landing has been interesting to say the least. We have been healthy, busy and looking for some good ole sunshine to get back outside. I think a case of OOTDS is coming on soon! Now how's that for thinking outside the window? Seems we have warm sunny days followed by cold Pretty White Stuff nights and you just never know what to expect when you wake at the crack of numbness.

On the stitching front... not much to share, however there are a few things in progress and when they are finished and delivered they will be posted. MAYBE.  A little bit of time has been devoted to Northern Tranquility so's not to let it go by the wayside as it did last year. (although with good reason) As much as I love to dive into the BAP's, the littlen's are fun too and that pretty much is what's got my needle threaded for the past few weeks.

This weekend we are getting together with some cousins to take in a few bubblies and have a good time just being us. We have decided that we would do this on a regular basis just coz and so far we have always had a great time. Funny how life changes and you find friends in the family you always had but never really knew. Seems it took me 50 years to get to know some of them and oh what stories they have. I am sure this weekend will be no different although I am sure more memories will be shared this time. The last of our parents has left us now and everyone knows how that is an adjustment in itself. So who better to share with than your friends/family.

Cheers to everyone's March....

  1. I think March is one of the most looked forward to months. People in the colder states know that spring is close by and the weather can start turning warmer soon. I always loved the day I could open my door in NH and actually smell the soil. What a joy!

  2. Have a great time with the family! I still want one more BIG PWS dump and then I will be happy to go into spring. This year isn't going to allow for much OOTPS.

  3. Thanks for the update from Henley's Landing! It's funny, because in the last little while my hubby and I too has been finding some friends in the family which is just great! Enjoy your time together :-)

  4. Hope you had a super weekend with your family. My family is very small (only 4 cousins, one aunt & uncle, both now deceased) and they are scattered in the wind. It would be great if we lived closer and could spend more time together. I only see my sisters once a year if I'm lucky!

  5. I hope you had a great time with your family. Funny you should mention long lost friends and family. We just vacationed with my DH's childhood friend he really hasn't seen since 1974. Had a great time. Check out my blog for the story and a couple finishes too. Working diligently on my new Mystic now. You can pound away on NT while I'm doing my Mystic.
